Our client, the owners of a terraced house in Raynes Park, (London SW20), were in the process of various home improvements when they contacted us. Their main requirement was to make use of the alcove space either side of the chimney breast in the ground floor living room. They also wanted a built-in wardrobe constructed in the bedroom above.
For the living room alcoves, we agreed on cabinets with shelving above. The width of the cabinets had to allow space for the homeowners’ existing media unit to fit in between them. In regards to the first-floor bedroom wardrobe, our client wanted to maximise hanging space with a high-level storage area.
In terms of style, our clients wanted a very modern look to suit their other renovation work in progress. All the joinery was to be left unfinished. The homeowners’ painters would paint our carpentry alongside their other work within the property.
