Fitted Wardrobes, vanity dresser/desk with boiler housing - Raynes Park / West Wimbledon SW20
Our returning clients in Raynes Park / West Wimbledon SW20 wanted to add full height wardrobes to a second bedroom, hide a boiler and have a vanity unit/desk space. The homeowners already had a good idea of what they required in terms of storage provision and style.
Design and Planning
One wardrobe had to enclose an existing boiler but allow access for servicing and provide shelving for storage. The other cabinet required hanging space with a high top shelf for storage. The two wardrobes were to be connected by a multi-use area that could be used either as a vanity table or a desk for home working. This needed a draw and side storage with doors.
Construction
The homeowners had cleared the bedroom, so we had plenty of space to work. All joinery work was constructed in the room, which is always our preferred way of working. Constructing on-site allows us to ensure everything is built to fit perfectly, rather than built off-site and then adjusted to fit. We supplied all the carpentry materials and hardware (hinges, hanging rails, drawer runners, etc.).
The doors were constructed in shaker style to suit other existing joinery within the home.
Painting & Finishing
On completion of the carpentry work, everything was painted in matt white paint ready for our clients to use.
